More Abandoned Rhododendrons

There are easily a dozen rhododendron plants over at the abandoned mega-church property across the street.

This one caught my eye ... maybe it was the lush dense green of the background. Or maybe it was because of the 3. Three bunches of flowers, and three shoots of new growth.

  1. Rhododendron flowers are one of natures true beauties. I wish they would grow here in the deep south... but it is just to hot and humid.

  2. Amazing how they can grow so pretty without tending. There is something very pleasing about the groups of three. :)

  3. I love flowers, but I do love them more when they grow in the "wild". :)Enjoy the rest of weekend!

  4. Our rhodies have come and gone already. It is always impressive when such plants take root where they are not purposely planted, and then thrive!

Thank you, Clytie, for coming by Oakland Daily Photo and leaving a comment. Hope you'll visit again.

  5. That's really cool, the two groups of three... and in a few decades they'll be 20 feet tall perhaps... !

  6. Oh...I love things in threes--there is such a balance about three--and this photo is beautiful. It touches me.
