Wild Ginger's Jealous Heart


Wild Ginger, Asarum canadense

I walked down into the woods to the lip of the canyon ... where the patch of Wild Ginger thrives.
I was followed by the darling cat Jae Jae.
I love the way the wild ginger leaves are shaped like delicate hearts.


This is where the 'jealous' part comes in.
Every time I stopped to take a picture, Jae Jae sat down - directly in the center of the shot!
