Frosty Morning Beauty


Yesterday started out cold ...
The first frost of the winter season coated the world.


The patterns it created were diverse and amazing!


Then the sun came out ... the ice crystals began to melt.


Until they were once again droplets of water.

    At first glance I thought the flower was sugar coated.. reality check! you live Oregon, its snow!

    Wonderful to see the frost and water drops sparkle in the sunlight. The ice formations in the second one are amazing!

    No frost here yet, but lots and lots and LOTS of water. Nice close-ups! I tried to get a close up of a flower today and blew it, so I am in awe :)
