I was on my way home from church, driving over the newly built bridge over the bird sanctuary when I saw a car pulled over, the driver pointing hysterically.
I looked to my left and saw him!
This beautiful eagle!
I pulled over to the side of the bridge, and grabbed my camera. Behind me, car after car pulled over to see this amazing site.
The heavy mist, blown by the wind, gave the scene a grainy, somewhat surreal quality.
By the time I was finished, my camera, the inside of my car, and my left leg were soaked. But it was well worth it.
I finally captured my eagle!!!!!
Ooooh, Sissy--it isn't grainy--it's ethereal.
ReplyDeleteThis photo not only fills my eyes, but it gave me goosebumps. THAT is a VERY rare thing!
& this sounds like a surreal experience as well. I love this story. To me picture taking stories are right up there with great cinema.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great shot!
A beautiful capture indeed.
ReplyDeleteClytie, Congratulations on your beauteous eagle capture. When something makes us not care about getting soaked we know it is a treasured moment in time.
ReplyDeleteawesome! Looks like you got a pretty great look at him and that he was fairly close. very cool! There are a lot up here, but for some reason, I just don't see them as often as i would think or like. Great picture. The fog/mist looks really neat with the eagle!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI'm on a quest to find an eagle to capture with my camera. I don't believe I have ever seen one...but I'm fairly new to recognizing birds.
Congratulations Clytie, it must have been so exhilarating to see and capture a shot of this amazing Eagle.
ReplyDeleteI would love to capture one but sadly we don't see the Eagles that use to nest here a few years ago. They have all left.
