Thistle Seed Caught on Grass
I could curse the dried up grass ... fire hazard.
I could curse the thistle seeds ... noxious weeds.
I could even curse the spider webs ... just plain eek.
The grass harbors the spider.
The spider's web catches the thistle seeds.
The thistle seeds catch the reflections of the morning sun.
Beauty unfolds unexpectedly.

Flower Shadow on Tree
I was waiting for mom to get out of the dentist's office ...
So I went for a short walk in the busy neighborhood.
Not much to see.
Until I started to SEE.
Nature's beauty is everywhere - even in the most unlikely places!
If I stop to look.
To see shadows from around the world, visit Hey Harriet, and join us for Shadow Shot Sunday!

Heart of Shadow
The new owners brought in heavy machinery to clean out the front entrance area to the once-abandoned mega-church property.
They weren't very careful.
They ripped down some of my favorite native shrubs - the red osier dogwoods.
It broke my heart.
On the bright side, on the right side of the picture, the shadows in the bushes show something special ...
A shadowy Heart!
